How To Jailbreak iOS 8.1 Untethered Mac OS X Pangu8 iPhone iPod iPad

Below you’ll find the simple instructions on how to jailbreak your iPhone 6 Plus, 6, 5S, 5C, 5, and 5C, your iPad Air, or Air 2, Mini 1, 2, and 3, reagular iPad 4, 3, and 2, and finally your iPod Touch 5G on iOS 8.0 – 8.1 using Pangu (8) for Mac.

If you haven’t already we suggest updating to the latest iOS 8.1 firmware using iTunes. If your’e already on iOS 8.1 you may want to backup your device and restore it to a fresh iOS 8.1. You can find download links for iOS 8.1 here. Please note that you must update using iTunes rather than the OTA feature on your device. If you updated via the OTA feature you should restore to iOS 8.1 using iTunes.

Step 2. Tap Settings from your Springboard then select Passcode. Turn Passcode Off if it is enabled.

Step 3. Press the Settings button at the top left to return to the Settings menu. Choose iCloud from the Settings menu then select Find My iPhone, iPod, or iPad from the iCloud menu. Ensure the Find My iPod touch switch is the Off position, or just remove it for the moment.

Step 4. Return to the Settings menu by tapping the iCloud then Settings buttons at the top left of the screen. Then enable Airplane Mode by tapping the Airplane Mode switch.

Step 5. Connect your device to the computer via a USB cable, launch iTunes, and back up your device. Ensure you have a backup in case something goes wrong.

Step 6. Right click or hold down Control and click the Pangu app your desktop.

Click Open from the contextual menu that appears.

Click Open when warned that Pangu is from an unidentified developer.

Step 7. You will notice the device is detected by the software. Click the large Start Jailbreak button to begin your jailbreak.

Step 8. You will be prompted to confirm that you’ve backed up your device and that it’s in Airplane Mode, click theAlready Did button to continue.

Step 9. The Pangu app will now begin the jailbreak process.

Step 10. Once the jailbreak has completed successfully, your iPod will reboot and a Pangu app and Cydia app will appear on your Springboard. Congratulations, you’re now jailbroken!
