If you want to update, or restore, your iDevice to iOS 8.1.2 without having to make the jump to iOS 8.1.3 you’ve made it to the right place. By using this method you won’t lose any data on your device so there’s no need to worry, but there is a need to hurry if you want to update. When Apple stops signing iOS 8.1.2 (closes the signing window) you won’t be able to update, or downgrade, to iOS 8.1.2. You’ll find step-by-step instructions after the jump.
Lets Get To It
Step 1. Download your iOS 8.1.2 IPSW, for your device, at ipswhub.com (save it on your desktop.)
Step 2. Make sure your device is connected to the computer, and open up iTunes.
Step 3. With your iOS 8.1.2 downloaded, hold down “Shift” if you’re on a PC, or “Option” if you’re on a Mac, tap check for update (or restore if you want to restore to iOS 8.1.2), search for you 8.1.2 IPSW you downloaded, and select it.
Step 4. Tap update once more.
That’s it you’re done!
