Before we get started you may want to note that if you follow this step-by-step guide on how to fix an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch that is stuck in recovery mode, recovery loop, or error 1015, the data on the device will be erased, or won’t be retained. Although there is a possibility of getting some information, or data, back on you device it will be from the last time you backed up you device on the previous iOS.
Restore From Recovery Mode
Step 1. Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes.
Step 2. Connect the device that is stuck in recovery mode, or that is having the issue.
Step 3. iTunes should pop up if not you’ll need to put into recovery mode by holding the home button down (on the front of your iPhone) and connect the device to your laptop/PC/Mac. (You should be prompted by iTunes saying that your device is in recovery mode and needs to be restored.)
Step 4. Select your device along the main toolbar, then go to the Summary tab.
Select the restore option.
Step 5. The rest is “Elementary Watson” Just follow the prompts in iTunes to restore your idevice back to its factory settings.
