How To Install Kodi Helix XBMC iOS 8.1.2 – 6 iPhone iPad iPod Touch

The open sourced media player Kodi, otherwise known as XBMC, provides its users with the ability to stream a wide variety of audio and video content. Although it’s supported on Android, Linux, Mac OS X, iOS, and Windows platforms, you’ll need to jailbreak your iOS device to get in on the action. Below after the fold we’ll show you the fast and easy steps on how you can install Kodi on your iOS device.

Note: You will need a jailbroken device before you can proceed (if you need to jailbreak your device on a Mac or PC you can do so with the links provided.)

If you meet the aforementioned requirements you can follow the steps below.

KODI-iOS

Step 1: Unlock your iOS device and Fire up Cydia.

Step 2: Hit the “Sources” tab, then Edit > Add.

Step 3: In the pop-up dialog box you’ll need to paste the following repository URL:

    http://mirrors.kodi.tv/apt/ios

Step 4.  Confirm you want to install the repo by tapping “Add Source.”

Step 4: When you have successfully added the repo, search for “Kodi-iOS,” and install it when you see it.

Step 5: Let Cydia do its thing in a minute or so your device will be transformed into a media center with Kodi.

I long for the days when such apps as these will be allowed in the app store, and not by some loophoop, but speaking realistically it most likely won’t happen.
